Description
OG Kush Feminised Seeds
By now a renowned heirloom strain, Seedsman's OG Kush Feminised Seeds strain has a slight indica-dominance and a genetic background of Chemdawg x (Lemon Thai x Hindu Kush). OG Kush has formed the genetic backbone of many West Coast strains since it made its Cali debut in Los Angeles during 1996; strains such as Girl Scout Cookies, Headband, Larry OG, Purple Kush, Cookies Kush, Pineapple Kush, Tahoe OG, Fire OG, Gelato #41 etc. are all OG-derived strains but there are many more.
Despite the many myths and stories attached to OG Kush, one thing is certain, cannabis strains don't attract as much attention and devotion unless there's something very special about them and OG Kush has a very special reputation. Despite being tricky to grow due to being sensitive to changes in light and nutrient levels and also being susceptible to pests, it grows very well indoors but needs dry conditions outdoors.
OG Kush - Cultivation
OG Kush is a tall strain that benefits from the grower having some previous cannabis cultivation experience under their belt. Indoor-grown plants will take 8 - 10 weeks to finish the flowering phase with potential yields being high. Humidity control is essential. Outdoors, or in a greenhouse, it will grow well in both warm and hot climates, with the proviso that humidity is on the low side. Northern hemisphere harvests will be due in October. The buds are green with long orange hairs and glistening trichomes.
OG Kush - Terpenes & Effects
The three most prevalent terpenes produced by OG Kush are beta-myrcene, beta-caryophyllene and limonene, these together providing OG Kush with its signature earthy, pine, fuel and citrus scent and flavour. THC content was measured at 23% with CBD less than 1%. The effect is happy, hungry, relaxing and, ultimately, sleepy.
OG Kush is said to have therapeutic benefits re. appetite stimulation, anxiety and stress relief.
